The Presiding Bishop is the spiritual leader of the General Conference of Evangelical Protestant Churches (GCEPC) and the President of the non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The Presiding Bishop is the pastor and teacher of this church and provides leadership for the life and witness of this church; preaches, teaches, and administers the sacraments in accordance with the faith of this church. The Presiding Bishop is the Chief Executive Officer of the corporation, overseeing the work of the church organization as a whole.
As Pastor the Presiding Bishop serves in leadership to regional and non-geographical synod bishops. Serving as representative for the EPC GCEPC/LEPC the Presiding Bishop promotes missions, programs, ecumenical outreaches and the ongoing education of ministers and the oversight of Concordia Theologica for the EPC GCEPC/LEPC

In September of 2005 the Board of Advisors and the Church-wide Conference elected Nancy K. Drew as Presiding Bishop. Prior to seating as Presiding Bishop, the Most Rev. Dr. Nancy Drew served as Senior Pastor of St. John in the Wilderness Chapel LEPC, Synod Bishop for South Carolina, on the International Board of Advisors, as Executive Bishop on the Executive Board and as President of Concordia Theologica Institute for Biblical and Lutheran Studies .
Bishop Drew is a life long resident of South Carolina born in 1949 in Florence. She grew up in the low country of the State in Orangeburg SC. Bishop Drew currently resides in Cayce in the Metropolitan Area of the State Capitol of Columbia, SC USA. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Thomas Edison State College, holds a two year certificate from Washington School of Art, received her Biblical Studies Diploma from Liberty Institute of Biblical Studies, attended Regents Divinity School and The Evangelical Protestant Seminary receiving a Bachelor of Practical Ministry, a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate in Ecclesiology. She has traveled widely in the United States and overseas in ministry and missions.
